eMarketing4us to Represent Entrepreneurial Sector at Assumption College’s Women’s Leadership Event

Deborah Buckley to draw on 25+ years of creative marketing expertise
to discuss the journey and mindset of being an Entrepreneur

LEOMINSTER, MASSACHUSETTS  – March 21, 2012 – Deborah Buckley, eMarketing4us’s (eM4us) Chief Advocate for Business Growth, is slated to represent the entrepreneurial sector at a panel discussion at Assumption College’s women’s leadership event, “Navigate your Options, Create your Future.” Tuesday, March 27. The event is to take place at 7 pm at Assumption Colleges’ Testa Science Center, 500 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA.

Buckley, a seasoned entrepreneur with 25+ years of experience in creative marketing strategies, plans to focus her discussion on the journey and mindset of an entrepreneur.   As Buckley quoted Guy Kawasaki, an “Entrepreneur is not a job title. It is the state of mind of people who want to alter the future.”

Besides the entrepreneurial sector, the event includes panelists from the governmental, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. All panelists are alumnae and will give an overview of their career paths, emphasizing their networks, career choices, and the value of transferable skills.

“I am humbled and honored to be invited to be a panelist,” Buckley said. “And by drawing on my experience I hope to provide our audience with very useful strategies for succeeding in the competitive world of entrepreneurship. From working as a commercial fisherwoman to starting several businesses, I have been privileged with viewing the field of entrepreneurship from multiple perspectives.”

An entrepreneur by heart, Buckley founded Deborah A. Buckley and Associates, a consulting firm, in 1998; YankeeGoods, an eCommerce site for New England artists in 2007; and eMarketing4us, an online internet marketing educational platform for adult learners in 2008.  Buckley has over 30 years of marketing and management experience within the high tech industry, and is an internet visionary that creatively integrates business models, marketing and technology to build online business platforms.

Buckley, who studied Liberal Arts at Assumption College, is a published author and the recipient of numerous marketing achievement awards.  She resides on the Cape and in Central Massachusetts with her husband and, on occasion, her daughters Briana and Erin.

“Navigate your Options, Create your Future” is sponsored by Assumption College’s Women’s Leadership Forum. A collaborative effort between Institutional Advancement, Career Services and Business Studies, Women’s Leadership Forum’s mission is to promote professional networking and high-impact program opportunities among students, alumnae and parents.

After the 45 minute formal panel discussion, students and alumnae will be invited to network while enjoying dessert and coffee.
